I'm an Interior Designer by profession and running my own firm by the name of Square Feet Studio in Mumbai. I've completed my Interior Design graduation from L.S Raheja School of Architecture.
As a designer, I have always been more inclined towards Art. I will not term myself as a foodie, but I definitely like and appreciate good food. My liking for food has only grown during the last 4 years. Whenever I get a chance I make it a point to explore the restaurants in the city.
While I carry on with my design projects, I've also ventured into Food Tours because of my growing passion for food.

I'm an ardent foodie and a traveller. A Tour Manager by profession since 12 years now, my job demands me to travel overseas. This has exposed me to varieties of cuisines worldwide and hence the love for food.
Having been born and brought up in Mumbai, I've seen the food trends in the locality very closely and love to try different restaurants and food in the city.
When Mihir Govilkar discussed this business opportunity ( Food Tours ) with me, without giving it a second thought I accepted to take it ahead.
Touring is something that I have always loved doing, and food tours was definitely a challenging opportunity.
Apart from being a foodie, I love to drive and listen to music.
It's a lovely feeling when your work is your hobby, hence the association with Food Tours of Mumbai
Mihir Govilkar (Founder)
I have been fascinated by food since I can't even remember. I have been told stories of when I was very little, that food was more important to me than anything that was going around me. This liking developed into a love for food. I am one of those who would say that 'I live to eat'. My food journey truly began when I was living in the US for 3.5 years while I did my MBA in Hospitality from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI and later when I worked at the Westin Waltham-Boston hotel.
It was an incredible experience to try cuisines from all over the world. I further got an opportunity to sample European cuisine when I was living in Nice, France for 1.5 years while I did my MSc in Finance from EDHEC Business School and later during my internship in Cannes at the JW Marriott Cannes hotel. My love for food is shared by so many fellow food lovers and it is truly an enjoyable meal when I sit down with someone who enjoys food as much as I do. Whenever I go to a new city, I like to try the local food specialties.
After travelling in the US, Europe and Asia, I realized that it is difficult to find good food or try the authentic local specialties that the locals like to eat; and avoid the 'tourist traps'. I realized that people coming from out of Mumbai to this great city of mine, would also face the same difficulty. I have been born and brought up in Mumbai and know the best places to eat. I have been so many restaurants and eaten so many dishes, that I can't even remember.
I decided to start 'Food Tours of Mumbai' to introduce this wonderful food to fellow food lovers, who like to try the local cuisine and go beyond the ordinary. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music (irrespective of the language), reading, playing tennis, going to the gym, skiing (in the US and Europe) and Horseback riding. I also like to cook whenever I get a chance. Rest assured, you will be on a food tour with a complete foodie!
